BLI Class of 2019 Project

Join the BLI Class of 2019 as they help to combat local child hunger through the BackPack Program!

The Food Bank's BackPack Program provides children with nutritious, easy-to-prepare, kid-friendly foods to take home on weekends and school breaks, when they may be at most risk of being hungry. The bags contains enough food for one child for two days. Bags of food are discreetly placed in a child's backpack each week during the school year. The program is offered in all 41 school districts in the Food Bank of the Southern Tier's service area and would not be possible without district coordinators and school personnel.

We invite you to help us in supporting the BackPack Program to ensure that the immediate needs of local children are being met. Your donation will help feed Broome County children!

Donate securely online through this web-page. Not sure how much to give? For reference, a $3 donation will provide one pack of food for a child in the BackPack Program. $12 will feed a child on weekends for the entire month.

THANK YOU! We are grateful.
