Your Future Greater Binghamton is a “one-stop shop” for Schools and Businesses. By joining, you:

  •   Get your company or organization in front of thousands of educators, students and guardians in the Greater Binghamton Area.
  •  Help teens realize a career path that works for them through job shadow, apprenticeships, internships & much more!
  •  Easily connect with educators to host company tours, visits to the classroom, and even project-based learning

Additional resources are available to help your business plan opportunities, as well as for your school to help you connect with business professionals.

GBEOP has launched several new programs to help businesses and schools connect. They include:

Your Future Pathway to Career Success, evening events targeting high school students and their families. These fall 2019 events are designed to:

  •   Expose students to career paths available in Broome County
  •   Showcase that students can have a good job and a good life in Broome County
  •   Increase awareness for parents about available career paths, and outlook for these careers
  •   Connect un- or under-employed parents to current jobs in our area
  •  Connect students to career exploration opportunities, even seasonal or part-time employment

Junior Achievement programs inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Volunteers deliver hands-on activities in grades k-12 that foster entrepreneurship, workplace readiness and financial literacy. Since its’ inception, JA:

  •   No cost to the schools
  •   Helps students make the connection between what they are learning in school and what they will need to succeed in work and life
  •   Has grown from 300 students in one school to over 1,000 students in multiple schools

The Building Bridges Program provides students and educators the opportunity to increase their knowledge of area businesses, their workforce needs, and workplace trends. Building Bridges:

  •   Partners with Binghamton University, SUNY Broome Community College and Broome-Tioga BOCES
  •  Delivers hands-on, relevant seminars related to careers in STEAM
  •  Guides youth in the pathways needed to achieve those careers
